Jeff Olson, Guitarist

Jeff OlsonGuitarist Jeff Olson has been performing throughout the Seattle area and Washington State for the past thirty years. He specializes in jazz and classical, but also plays guitar and bass for pop and folk groups.

Most of Jeff's recent gigs have been with Brazilian song and instrumental combo Grupo Amoroso, Organ Gravy, and jazz vocalist Reginald Pinckney. Venues include Jazz Alley, Tula's, Folk Life and Bite of Seattle.

Jeff is the proud owner of four guitars: a Jeff Olson original, an Ibanez AM205, a Heritage Eagle, and his most prized acquisition, a Richard Prenkert. He also has two Steinberger basses. His main influences are guitar legends Antonio Carlos Jobim, Django Reinhardt, and Pat Martino. As for composers and arrangers, his taste is eclectic, including such jazz and classical greats as Jobim, Cole Porter, Duke Ellington, John Scofield, Ravel, and Debussy.

Born in Wakeeney, Kansas, Jeff spent his formative years in Centralia, Washington, and has a Bachelor of Arts from Central Washington University in Music Education.
